Proper Microscope Use and Care

DO NOT handle the microscope with one hand!
NEVER!

ALWAYS carry the microscope with two hands!

Plug the microscope into the bench. Be sure the bench is plugged into the floor socket.

To control the brightness, turn the knob below the power switch.

To focus, first turn the large knob to make the image clear.

To gently and slowly fine focus, turn the smaller knob at the center of the big knob.

Always follow these steps when putting the microscope away:

1)Lower the stage to its lowest position.

2)Rotate the lens so that there is no lens in position below the eyepiece.

3)Turn the lamp down to its lowest setting.

4)Turn the power off.

Always wrap up the electric cord as shown.
(Note how the plug is folded inside the cord.)

Cover the microscope with its plastic cover.
